About Hinky Strings
My name is Randy Hinkelman and I have been shooting competitive
archery for 17 years. I have been building strings for 15 years. Larry
Wise, a premier archer and archery instructor, taught me how to build
strings in the mid 90's. I have used that knowledge, as well as new
tools and techniques, to build what I feel are the most reliable and best
looking strings available today.
The strings are made in the "archery room" of my home in New Market,
MD, where I live with my wife Jennifer and two daughters, Caroline and
Caitlin. Hinky Strings came about in March 2009 after spending
countless nights awake with our then one month old. Since then, Hinky
Strings has grown in leaps and bounds. I thank my family, friends and
loyal customers for their support and look forward to many years to
come.
I exclusively use BCY materials because they are the best available
today. (452X string material, .014 Halo end serving, and 62XS center
serving)
